Vellichor — Pricing

Vellichor is a managed PostgreSQL-compatible vector database for production retrieval workloads; pricing scales by indexed-vector count and provisioned read capacity, with three tiers and reserved-capacity discounts.

Hobby plan

The Hobby plan is free and supports up to 100,000 indexed vectors of 768-dimension at most, a single index, and a maximum of 30 queries per second from any single API key. Hobby clusters pause automatically after 7 days of zero traffic and are deleted after 30 days inactive. The Hobby plan is not eligible for SOC 2 reports, BAA execution, or any data residency commitments.

Production plan

Production starts at $129 per month for a base allocation of 2 million indexed vectors and 500 queries per second of provisioned read capacity. Each additional million vectors adds $24 per month and each additional 100 QPS of provisioned read capacity adds $19 per month. Includes hourly point-in-time recovery for the trailing 14 days and dedicated single-tenant storage.

Enterprise plan

Enterprise pricing is custom and starts at $4,800 per month committed annually. Includes BYOK encryption with AWS KMS, GCP Cloud KMS, or HashiCorp Vault; private VPC peering; multi-region read replicas (up to three regions); and named reliability engineers reachable by phone 24x7 for Sev 1 incidents with a 30-minute response SLA. SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA-eligible deployments are Enterprise-only.

Reserved capacity

On Production and Enterprise, customers may reserve provisioned read capacity in 12-month or 36-month terms. The 12-month commitment yields a 22% discount on the QPS line item; the 36-month commitment yields 38%. Reserved-capacity discounts do not apply to vector storage charges or to bandwidth egress, which is billed at $0.09 per GB after a 100 GB monthly allowance per cluster.
